Coolbet login in Ontario: there's nothing left to sign in to

Coolbet's Ontario accounts closed when it left the province on 3 April 2023. Here's what happened to them, what to do if you think money was left behind, and what signing in to a regulated Ontario sportsbook really involves.

The short answer

Why your Coolbet login doesn't work in Ontario

A Coolbet account opened in Ontario belonged to Coolbet's Ontario site, and that site no longer exists. Coolbet joined Ontario's regulated market in the first wave, when it opened on 4 April 2022. Less than a year later, according to Covers, it switched off deposits, stopped taking bets and closed the Ontario site on 3 April 2023, the day its iGaming registration was due to expire.

Its old Ontario address, coolbet.ca, now redirects to coolbet.com, Coolbet's international site (we checked on 4 November 2026). That site sits behind bot protection that refused our own test request with an "Access denied" message, so we make no claim about what it shows a visitor in Ontario. What we can say is that RG.org's review of Coolbet in Canada names Ontario and Alberta as provinces where it isn't offered, and that Coolbet is missing from iGaming Ontario's operator directory.

So there's no Ontario login page to find. Any page that claims to be one deserves suspicion, and the rest of this guide explains why.

What happened to Ontario accounts

Covers reported the shutdown step by step. These are the dates that decided what happened to balances and open bets.

  1. 4 April 2022

    Ontario accounts open

Coolbet launches with the first wave of private operators in Ontario's regulated market, registered with the AGCO like every operator here.

  2. 21 March 2023

    Deposits switched off

Coolbet turns off every deposit method and tells customers: "We strongly encourage you to withdraw your funds as soon as possible."

  3. 22 March 2023

Betting closes, open bets are voided

Gaming ends. Bets that can't be settled by the end of the day are voided and refunded, futures included, and undecided parlay legs are voided and set to odds of 1.00.

  4. 3 April 2023

    The Ontario site closes

Covers reported that the site and the mobile app closed that day. Strafe's 2022 review said there was no Ontario app, only the mobile site, so sources differ on the app. Either way, nothing Ontario-specific is left to sign in to.

  5. 4 November 2026

    Still gone

coolbet.ca redirects to coolbet.com, Coolbet isn't in iGaming Ontario's directory, and a search of Canada's App Store returns no Coolbet app (more on our Coolbet app page).

Can I log in at coolbet.com instead?

Not from Ontario, and never with a workaround

Coolbet still runs in other provinces under its Malta licence. RG.org reports that signing up there takes two short screens and an SMS code, with Google, Facebook or Apple sign-up as options, and that Coolbet's Canadian bonus terms are for residents of Canada "excluding Ontario". None of that is open to you here.

Don't use a VPN or location spoofing to reach an account from Ontario. It breaks the operator's terms, and accounts and balances can be frozen. Because Coolbet isn't registered in Ontario today, the AGCO can't step in if that happens to you.

Found a "Coolbet Ontario" login page?

Treat it as a red flag

Search results for "Coolbet Ontario" include machine-written pages claiming Coolbet holds an iGaming Ontario licence today. They're wrong. On 4 November 2026 iGO's directory listed 49 operators and 84 sites, and neither Coolbet nor Polar Limited, the company that holds its Malta licence, was among them.

A page that borrows Coolbet's polar-bear logo and asks for your email and password could be phishing. Don't type old Coolbet details into any page you reached from an ad, an email or a search result, and if you reused that password anywhere else, change it there.

Think money was left on an old Ontario account?

Customers were told to withdraw before the shutdown, and unsettled bets were refunded to balances. If you still believe something is owed to you, this is the route, in order. We can't promise an outcome at any step.

1

Gather your records

Before you write to anyone, collect what you have: emails from Coolbet (especially from March and April 2023), your transaction history, bank or card statements showing deposits and withdrawals, screenshots of your balance, and the dates of each. Note the email address the account was registered with.

2

Write to Coolbet first

The Malta Gaming Authority's licensee register lists Coolbet's licence holder, Polar Limited, with the general email enquiry@coolbet.com and a registered office at Regent House, Office 21, Bisazza Street, Sliema SLM 1640, Malta. Say you held an Ontario account that closed in April 2023, give dates and amounts, attach your evidence and keep a copy.

3

Escalate to the MGA

If Coolbet doesn't resolve it, the Malta Gaming Authority's website has a "Lodge a Complaint" page in its Player Hub. It's the route for disputes with an MGA licensee once you've complained to the operator, and Polar Limited's licence, MGA/CRP/681/2019, shows as licensed. We haven't tested the process and can't say how it treats a closed Ontario account.

4

Know the AGCO's role in 2022–2023

While Coolbet operated in Ontario, it was registered with the AGCO, the province's internet gaming regulator. Complaints go to the operator first, and the AGCO can step in for registered operators. We couldn't verify whether it can still act on a registration that ended in 2023, so treat it as a place to ask, not a way to recover money.

What not to do

Don't pay anyone who offers to recover a Coolbet balance for a fee, and don't send ID documents or banking details to any address other than the one on the MGA register. The register is public, so you can check the contact details yourself before you write.

In Alberta? Logins ended on 1 September 2026

Albertans went through the same thing in 2026. According to Covers, RG.org and Casinos.com, Coolbet stopped deposits, registrations and promotions for Alberta, ended its sportsbook and casino there on 12 July 2026, the day before Alberta's regulated market opened, and voided unsettled bets except World Cup bets, which settled normally. Withdrawals stayed open until 31 August 2026, and there have been no logins since 1 September.

Coolbet's statement, as quoted by Casinos.com: "Due to changes in Alberta's iGaming regulations, we'll no longer be able to offer our services in the province without a local license." It hasn't announced a licence application. If you missed the withdrawal window, the steps above apply in the same order: your records, Coolbet at the address on the MGA register, then the MGA's complaint route. Account security basics

General habits that protect any betting account. None of this describes Coolbet's own systems, which we haven't tested.

Use a unique password

One password per site. If your old Coolbet password also protects your email or bank, change those first. A password manager makes long, unique passwords painless.

Turn on two-factor where it's offered

A one-time code from an app or a text message stops someone who has only your password. Switch it on wherever a sportsbook or your email provider offers it.

Never share a code

Sign-up and login codes are for you alone. A genuine support agent has no reason to ask for one, so anyone who does is trying to take over the account.

Watch for phishing

Be wary of emails, texts and websites pretending to be Coolbet, for example messages offering to release an old Ontario balance. Check the sender and the web address, and never sign in through a link in a message.

What logging in to a regulated Ontario sportsbook involves

You must be 19 or older. That's Ontario's minimum age for online betting, and regulated sites check it.

Expect an identity check. Regulated operators have to confirm who you are, so you'll be asked for personal details and sometimes ID documents. That's a sign of a regulated site, not a problem.

A location check is normal. Ontario sites confirm you're in the province, often by asking your phone or browser for location permission. Let it run rather than trying to get around it.

Check the operator first. Look the brand up in iGaming Ontario's directory and look for the iGO logo on the site. Behind it sits an AGCO registration, which is what gives you a complaints route.

Coolbet login FAQ

Can I still log in to my Coolbet Ontario account?

No. Coolbet closed its Ontario site on 3 April 2023, after switching off deposits on 21 March and betting on 22 March. Ontario accounts went with it, and Coolbet isn't in iGaming Ontario's operator directory today.

Where does coolbet.ca go now?

When we checked on 4 November 2026, coolbet.ca redirected to coolbet.com, Coolbet's international site. Its bot protection refused our test request, so we can't tell you what it shows a visitor in Ontario.

I think money was left in my old Coolbet Ontario account. What should I do?

Gather your emails, transaction history, statements and screenshots, then write to enquiry@coolbet.com, the address the Malta Gaming Authority's register lists for Polar Limited. If that fails, the MGA's "Lodge a Complaint" page is the route for disputes with its licensees. The AGCO regulated Coolbet in Ontario in 2022 and 2023, but we can't promise it can recover anything now.

What happened to my open bets when Coolbet left Ontario?

According to Covers, bets that couldn't be settled by the end of 22 March 2023 were voided and refunded, futures included. Undecided parlay legs were voided and set to odds of 1.00.

Can I use a VPN to log in to Coolbet from Ontario?

Don't. Getting around geolocation breaks the operator's terms, accounts and balances can be frozen, and because Coolbet isn't registered in Ontario, the AGCO can't help you get the money back.

I'm in Alberta. Can I still log in to Coolbet?

No. Coolbet ended its sportsbook and casino in Alberta on 12 July 2026, allowed withdrawals until 31 August 2026 and stopped logins from 1 September 2026, as reported by Covers, RG.org and Casinos.com.

Is there a Coolbet app I can log in with in Canada?

No. A search of Canada's App Store returns no Coolbet app. Coolbet's current iPhone app, Coolbet Eesti, is listed only in Estonia.
