Coolbet app in Ontario: why you won't find one

We searched Canada's App Store and Google Play on 4 November 2026. Coolbet's only current iPhone app is an Estonian one that isn't offered here, and Coolbet itself left Ontario in 2023. Here's what exists, what doesn't, and how to tell a regulated Ontario betting app from one to avoid.

Short answer

Is there a Coolbet app for Ontario?

No. When we searched Apple's App Store for Canada for "coolbet" on 4 November 2026, it returned no Coolbet app at all. Coolbet does have a current iPhone app, but it's called Coolbet Eesti, it's published under the name StayCool OÜ, and it's listed only in Estonia. Its Android page on Google Play returns a "not found" error when you open it from Canada, and Coolbet's poker apps aren't in the Canadian store either.

That fits the bigger picture. Coolbet ran a regulated Ontario site from April 2022 until 3 April 2023, then left the province. It isn't in iGaming Ontario's operator directory today, so even a perfect app wouldn't be allowed to take your bets here. The full story is on our Coolbet Ontario guide.

Coolbet Eesti: the app you may have heard about

It's real, it's current, and it isn't for Canada.

Coolbet Eesti

StayCool OÜ · App Store, Estonia only

Coolbet Eesti is Coolbet's current iPhone app. Apple's listing names the seller as StayCool OÜ and shows a release date of 29 July 2026 and version 1.0.5. It puts sports betting and casino in one app. It's listed only in Estonia: when we looked the app up for the Canadian store, Apple returned zero results.

Two details matter if you're in Ontario. First, the app is in Estonian and Coolbet doesn't offer it in Canada. Second, the developer name on the listing isn't the company named on Coolbet's Malta licence, which the Malta Gaming Authority's register gives as Polar Limited. We couldn't verify how the two companies are related. It doesn't change the answer here, because neither name appears in iGaming Ontario's directory.

You can see the listing on Apple's Estonian App Store. We link it as a source, not as a download: the app isn't listed in Canada's store.

Did Coolbet ever have an Ontario app?

Sources from the time disagree, and we'd rather tell you that than guess.

Strafe, 2022

"No Ontario app"

Strafe's review of Coolbet Ontario, written while the site was live and AGCO-registered, said there was no Ontario app: you used the mobile site. Strafe now says Coolbet is no longer recommended.

Covers, March 2023

"Site and mobile app" closing

Covers' exit report said Coolbet would shut its Ontario site and mobile app on 3 April 2023, after turning off deposits on 21 March and closing betting on 22 March.

Perhaps an app arrived after Strafe's review, or perhaps "mobile app" simply meant the mobile site. We couldn't verify which, and a search of Canada's App Store today turns up nothing that settles it. What isn't in doubt is the outcome: since 3 April 2023 there has been no Coolbet product for Ontario, app or website.

If you had an account in those days, our Coolbet login page covers old Ontario accounts and safe ways to get help.

Outside Ontario: a mobile site, not an app

Coolbet still takes bets in some other provinces, outside the provincial systems and under its Malta licence. None of that applies in Ontario, and since July 2026 it doesn't apply in Alberta either.

RG.org, an affiliate review site that tested Coolbet's Canadian product, reports that there's no dedicated iOS or Android app in Canada: customers bet in a mobile browser. RG.org found that mobile site cluttered and the desktop version hard to read, with small fonts and dense layouts. It also found the withdrawal button hard to locate from the main lobby.

We can't show you what Coolbet's site looks like from Ontario. Coolbet.com sits behind bot protection that refused our own test request, so we make no claim about what an Ontario visitor sees there. For what Coolbet offers in other markets, see our Coolbet Casino page and the scores on our Coolbet reviews page.

Offered a "Coolbet Ontario app"?

Treat it with suspicion

Coolbet doesn't list an app in Canada's App Store, its Android page returns 404 here, and it isn't registered to operate in Ontario. So any app, APK file or download page promising "Coolbet for Ontario" can't be traced back to an official listing. We're not pointing at a particular app. The point is simpler: there's no official one, so anything claiming to be it deserves a hard look.

The same goes for search results. Some "Coolbet Ontario" pages are machine-written and claim Coolbet holds an iGO licence today. They're wrong.

Installing a betting app safely

Four habits that protect your login, your bank details and your balance, whichever brand you choose.

Official stores only

Install betting apps only from Apple's App Store or Google Play, opened from the store app on your phone, not from a link in an ad, a text message or a chat.

Match the seller to the directory

Every store listing names a seller or developer. Before you deposit, check that name and the brand against iGaming Ontario's directory. If the operator isn't there, the app isn't regulated in Ontario, however polished it looks.

Never sideload an APK

Android lets you install APK files from outside Google Play. Don't do it for a betting app from an unknown site: you can't tell who built it, what it does with your details, or who would help if money goes missing.

Don't fight the location check

Using a VPN or a fake location breaks an operator's terms, and accounts caught doing it can be frozen along with their balance. No Ontario regulator can help you get that money back from an unregistered site.

How to check a regulated Ontario betting app

iGaming Ontario's directory (last updated 1 September 2026) listed 49 operators and 84 gaming sites when we checked on 4 November 2026. Four checks tell you whether an app belongs to one of them.

1

Find it in the iGO directory

Look the brand up in iGaming Ontario's list. If it isn't there, it can't take bets from Ontarians, whether it reaches you as an app or a website.

2

Look for the iGO logo

Regulated Ontario sites display iGaming Ontario's logo. A logo is easy to copy, though, so treat it as a prompt to check the directory, not as proof.

3

Know who oversees it

Registered operators answer to the AGCO. Complain to the operator first; the AGCO can step in for a registered one, but can't do anything for an unregistered site.

4

Expect a location check

Regulated apps confirm you're in Ontario before you bet. That's normal here, not a fault. You also need to be 19 or older to bet online in Ontario.

A good app makes betting easier, which is also why limits matter. Regulated Ontario sites must offer tools such as deposit limits and self-exclusion, and if betting stops being fun, ConnexOntario is free and open 24/7 at 1-866-531-2600. Looking for offers instead? Our bonus code and free bet pages explain what Coolbet offers elsewhere and why none of it applies in Ontario.

Coolbet app FAQ

Is there a Coolbet app in Ontario?

No. A search of Canada's App Store on 4 November 2026 returned no Coolbet app, and Coolbet has not operated in Ontario since 3 April 2023. It isn't in iGaming Ontario's operator directory.

Can I download Coolbet Eesti in Canada?

No. Coolbet Eesti, published under the name StayCool OÜ, is listed only in Estonia, and Apple's lookup for the Canadian store returns zero results. The app is in Estonian, and its Google Play page returns 404 for Canada.

Did Coolbet have an app when it was in Ontario?

Sources differ. Strafe's 2022 review said there was no Ontario app, only a mobile site, while Covers reported that Coolbet's Ontario site and mobile app closed on 3 April 2023. We couldn't verify which is right.

Does Coolbet have an app anywhere else in Canada?

RG.org reports that Coolbet has no dedicated iOS or Android app in Canada, so customers in the provinces where it still operates use a mobile browser. None of that applies in Ontario.

Is a Coolbet APK from another website safe to install?

Don't install it. There's no official Coolbet app for Canada, so a file from an unknown site can't be traced to Coolbet, and Coolbet isn't registered in Ontario anyway. Only install betting apps from the App Store or Google Play.

Does Coolbet have a poker app in Canada?

No. Coolbet's poker apps, such as Coolbet.ee Poker, are not in the Canadian store either.

How do I know a betting app is regulated in Ontario?

Find the brand in iGaming Ontario's operator directory, check that the app's seller matches it, and look for the iGO logo. Registered operators are overseen by the AGCO, which gives you a complaints route if something goes wrong.
